I’m half Viking, half Scot, born in Africa with the blood of nomadic reindeer herders from northern Scandinavia in my veins.  I guess that’s why travel and exploring is part of who I am and what I enjoy.

My life has undergone a fair bit of change since 2014, and I’ve found it cathartic to write about some of those changes.  I really hope that if you’re going through something similar you find some comfort and / or (dare I say) inspiration from my posts.

I’m also a keen bass player, and have played in various bands over the last 10 years, so you can be sure to find music related posts from me here. I’m passionate about live music – whether watching or performing – and hopefully you are too.

It’s important that I say from the start that the things I write about data and information security, IT and some technology have nothing to do with my work.  I’ve tried to keep them simple, because too many people like to confuse others with jargon.

I really hope you find something you like! If you do, be sure to follow me on Twitter or follow the blog.

Oh, and talking of following – you may want to check out Helping You Sparkle.  I’m a sometime contributor on there, helping you find your inner sparkle and live life to the full.  You’ll find some links to the latest posts from that site or you can use the menu item on any page.
